Dwight-Derby House | Medfield

18th Century Carriage Barn

Explore the old carriage barn, added on to the original structure by owner Horatio Townsend in 1797. Step back to Colonial times when farming and field work was done by hand using simple tools.

Here you will find meticulously hung iron implements including hoes, scythes, axes and plows. Some of these tools may have been used to farm the 16-acre lot of land once owned by the Derby family.
